[AI] Narrated by Nu'ayh from Jabir: The companions of the Prophet ﷺ used to walk in front of him when they went out, and they would leave his back for the angels to walk behind him.

كَانَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَهُ إِذَا خَرَجَ وَيَدَعُونَ ظَهْرَهُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ

[AI] From Nu'ayh, from Jabir, he said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would leave his house, we would walk in front of him and leave his back for the angels.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مَشَيْنَا قُدَّامَهُ وَتَرَكْنَا ظَهْرَهُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ

[AI] From Nubayh Al-Azzy, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, he narrated that Luqman said to his son, "And be moderate in your walking and lower your voice." [Luqman 19]. He (Jabir ibn Abdullah) said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to walk with his companions and they would make way for the angels behind him."

عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَتَلَا قَوْلَ لُقْمَانَ لِابْنِهِ {وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ وَاغْضُضْ مِنْ صَوْتِكَ} [لقمان 19] قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا خَرَجَ مَشَوْا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَخَلَّوْا ظَهْرَهُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ»
