[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died in my house, on my day, and between my magic and sacrifice. Then Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr entered with a wet toothstick (miswak). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at it, so I thought that he needed it. I took it, chewed on it, and perfumed it. Then I handed it to him, so he used it as beautifully as I had ever seen anyone using it before. Then he wanted to hand it back to me, but it fell from his hand. So I took it, and I sought assistance with a supplication that he used to make when he got sick, but he did not make that supplication during his sickness. Then he looked up to the sky and said, 'The Highest Companion, the Highest Companion.' Then his soul departed. Praise be to Allah who has brought my saliva and his saliva together on the last day of his life in this world."

The Prophet ﷺ expired in my house and on the day of my turn, leaning against my chest. One of us (i.e. the Prophet's wives ) used to recite a prayer asking Allah to protect him from all evils when he became sick. So I started asking Allah to protect him from all evils (by reciting a prayer ). He raised his head towards the sky and said, "With the highest companions, with the highest companions." ʿAbdur- Rahman bin Abu Bakr passed carrying a fresh leaf-stalk of a date-palm and the Prophet ﷺ looked at it and I thought that the Prophet ﷺ was in need of it (for cleaning his teeth ). So I took it (from ʿAbdur Rahman) and chewed its head and shook it and gave it to the Prophet ﷺ who cleaned his teeth with it, in the best way he had ever cleaned his teeth, and then he gave it to me, and suddenly his hand dropped down or it fell from his hand (i.e. he expired). So Allah made my saliva mix with his saliva on his last day on earth and his first day in the Hereafter.

[Machine] Aisha narrated, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away in my house, on my day, in my arms. I was combing my hair when Abdullah bin Abu Bakr entered, carrying a wet siwak (tooth-stick). He looked at me, and I thought he needed something from it. So, I took it, chewed it, cleaned it, and then handed it to him. He started using it, cleaning his teeth as I had never seen anyone clean their teeth before. Then, he tried to raise it towards me, but it fell from his hand. So, I began to pray to Allah with a supplication that the Angel Gabriel ﷺ used to make for him when he was ill and he did not make the supplication during his illness. Then, he raised his gaze towards the sky and said, 'The Highest Companion, the Highest Companion,' and his soul departed. All praise is due to Allah who reunited his spit and his saliva on the last day of this world."

[Machine] "Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, passed away in my house, in my presence, on my day, while I was with her. Abdur Rahman ibn Abu Bakr entered upon him with a moist siwak (toothbrush), and he (the Prophet) looked at it until I thought he was in need of it. So I took it, chewed it, and softened it, then I handed it to him. He brushed his teeth with it, swished it around his mouth, and then returned it to me. He continued to do this repeatedly, until he raised his eyes towards the sky and said, 'The highest companion.' Then his soul departed. Praise be to Allah, who gathered his saliva with mine in the final day of this world."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ died on the day of my morning and evening prayers. Abdullah ibn Abu Bakr came to visit him with a wet toothbrush, and I thought that he needed it, so I took it, chewed it, tasted it, and freshened my breath with it. Then he went to sit up and fell down, so I started to supplicate to Allah with a supplication that Gabriel used to make or that the Prophet used to make when he fell sick, saying, "The highest companion of Paradise, rather." He said it three times, and his soul departed. His wife said, "Praise be to Allah Who has reunited my breath with the breath of the Prophet in his last day in this world."
