ذِكْرُ مَا يَجِبُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ مُجَانَبَةَ النَّوْمِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ

[Machine] Aisha heard me while I was speaking after the last evening prayer, so she said, "Oh Urayyah, don't you give your scribe a rest? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to not sleep before it, nor speak after it."  

ابن حبّان:٥٥٤٧أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سَمِعَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ وَأَنَا أَتَكَلَّمُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ فَقَالَتْ «يَا عُرَيُّ أَلَا تُرِيحُ كَاتِبَكَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَنَامُ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا يَتَحَدَّثُ بَعْدَهَا» *

"عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ أَتَحَدَّثُ بَعْد العِشَاء الآخِرَةِ فنادَتنِي عَائِشَةُ يَا عُرْوَة! أَلَا تُرِيحُ كاتِبَيكَ، إِنَّ رَسُول الله ﷺ كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ قَبْلَهَا، وَلَا يَتَحدَّث بَعْدهَا".
