ذِكْرُ وَصْفِ خَيْرِ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَشَرِّهَا

ibnhibban:2179 – Abū Khalīfah > al-Qaʿnabī > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Muḥammad > al-ʿAlāʾ from his father > Abū Hurayrah

[Machine] The translation is as follows: "Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, 'The best rows for men to offer the Salah (prayer) are the first rows, and the worst ones are the last ones. The best rows for women to offer the Salah are the last ones, and the worst ones are the first ones.'"  

ابن حبّان:٢١٧٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَحْسِنُوا إِقَامَةَ الصُّفُوفِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الْقَوْمِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ أَوَّلُهَا وَشَرُّهَا آخِرُهَا وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ آخِرُهَا وَشَرُّهَا أَوَّلُهَا»

the best of the men’s row is the first and the worst of them is the last, but the best of the women’s rows is the last and the worst of them is the first. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 678)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ أَوَّلُهَا وَشَرُّهَا آخِرُهَا وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ آخِرُهَا وَشَرُّهَا أَوَّلُهَا

[Machine] "Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'Arrange the rows in prayer properly, for the best rows for men in prayer are the front ones, and the worst are the ones at the back. And the best rows for women in prayer are the back rows, and the worst are the ones at the front.'"  

أحمد:١٠٢٩٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيَّ وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

[Machine] We were informed by Al-Qa'nabi, who was informed by Abdul-Aziz ibn Muhammad, who heard it from Al-Ala, who heard it from his father, who heard it from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The disbeliever and his killer will never be united in the Fire."  

ابن حبّان:٤٦٦٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ
