[Machine] "That his grandfather named his father 'Uzayz', and this was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, so he named him 'Abdul Rahman'. Sound chain of transmission and it was not narrated by them in Sahih."  

الحاكم:٧٧٢٨ – أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عُمَرَ بْنُ مَطَرٍ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَخْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ

«أَنَّ جَدَّهُ سَمَّى أَبَاهُ عُزَيْزًا فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَمَّاهُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
