[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You should wear this white garment and shroud your dead in it, for it is from the best of your clothing." It has been narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas and Samurah ibn Jundub that the Prophet ﷺ added additional words to this statement.  

الحاكم:٧٣٧٧ – فَحَدَّثْنَاهُ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الْبَيَاضِ لِيَلْبَسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خِيَارِ ثِيَابِكُمْ» وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَسَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِزِيَادَةِ أَلْفَاظٍ فِيهِ

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ لِابْنِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ ابْنِ عُلَيَّةَ أَرْسَلَاهُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ على شرط البخاري
