[Machine] I heard my mother, Umm Hani' bint Abi Talib, saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Indeed, Allah Almighty has favored the Quraysh with seven qualities that He did not grant to anyone before them or will grant to anyone after them. Among these qualities is that they were given prophethood and the honor of being custodians of the Kaaba, and they were also aided against the people of the elephant (in the Battle of the Elephant). They worship no one but Allah, and for ten years they worshipped Allah alone without associating partners with Him. And a Surah (chapter) was revealed concerning them in which no one else was mentioned, because of the alliance of Quraysh."

This has been narrated by Yahya ibn Ja'dah ibn Hubayrah, from his grandmother Umm Hani'.

سَمِعْتُ أُمِّي أُمَّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فَضَّلَ قُرَيْشًا بِسَبْعِ خِصَالٍ لَمْ يُعْطِهَا أَحَدًا قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا يُعْطِيهَا أَحَدًا بَعْدَهُمْ فِيهِمُ النُّبُوَّةُ وَفِيهِمُ الْحِجَابَةُ وَفِيهِمُ السِّقَايَةُ وَنَصَرَهُمْ عَلَى الْفِيلِ وَهُمْ لَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَعَبَدُوا اللَّهَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ لَمْ يَعْبُدْهُ غَيْرُهُمْ وَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ سُورَةٌ لَمْ يُشْرِكْ فِيهَا غَيْرَهَمْ لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ» وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ

[Machine] From his grandmother, Umm Haneeth, daughter of Abu Talib, it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has favored Quraysh with seven privileges: that I am among them, and that prophethood is among them, and that the veil is among them, and that sustenance is among them, and that Allah aided them against the people of the elephant, and that they worshiped Allah alone for ten years without worshipping anyone else, and that Allah revealed a Surah in the Qur'an about them." Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse, "For the accustomed security of the Quraysh - Their accustomed security in the caravan of winter and summer - Let them worship the Lord of this House, Who has fed them, [saving them] from hunger and made them safe, [saving them] from fear." [Quraysh 2]

عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ قُرَيْشًا بِسَبْعِ خِلَالٍ؛ أَنِّي فِيهِمْ وَأَنَّ النُّبُوَّةَ فِيهِمْ وَالْحِجَابَةَ فِيهِمْ وَالسِّقَايَةَ فِيهِمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ نَصَرَهُمْ عَلَى الْفِيلِ وَأَنَّهُمْ عَبَدُوا اللَّهَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ لَا يَعْبُدُهُ غَيْرُهُمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ فِيهِمْ سُورَةً مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ» ثُمَّ تَلَاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ {لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُمْ مِنْ جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُمْ مِنْ خَوْفٍ} [قريش 2]  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» يعقوب ضعيف وإبراهيم صاحب مناكير هذا أنكرها

[Machine] About his grandmother, Umm Hani bint Abi Talib, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah favored the Quraysh with seven qualities that no one before them had been given, nor will anyone after them be given. Allah favored the Quraysh by choosing me from among them, as prophethood is in them. And the honor of the Kaaba is in them. And the responsibility of serving the pilgrims is in them. And their victory over the people of the elephant. And they worshiped Allah for ten years with no one else worshiping Him. And Allah revealed a Surah of the Qur'an about them that was not revealed about anyone else."
