hakim:5621Abū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad b. Yaʿqūb > al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. ʿAffān al-ʿĀmirī > ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr > al-Aʿmash > Abū Isḥāq > Muṣʿab b. Saʿd > Akhadh Ḥudhayfah And ʾAbāh al-Mushrikūn Qabl Badr Faʾarādūā > Yaqtulūhumā Faʾakhadhūā ʿAlayhimā ʿAhd Allāh Wamīthāqah

[Machine] Hudayfah and his father were taken by the polytheists before the Battle of Badr, and they wanted to kill them. So, they swore an oath by Allah and made a pact that they would not assist the Muslims against them. They both swore to them, and they sent them. They came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him. He said, "We have already sworn to them. If you wish, you can fight alongside us." He replied, "We will fulfill our oath to them, and we will seek the help of Allah against them."  

الحاكم:٥٦٢١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ

أَخَذَ حُذَيْفَةَ وَأَبَاهُ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَبْلَ بَدْرٍ فَأَرَادُوا أَنْ يَقْتُلُوهُمَا فَأَخَذُوا عَلَيْهِمَا عَهْدَ اللَّهِ وَمِيثَاقَهُ أَنْ لَا يُعِينَانِ عَلَيْهِمْ فَحَلَفَا لَهُمْ فَأَرْسَلُوهُمَا فَأَتَيَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرَا فَقَالَا إِنَّا قَدْ حَلَفْنَا لَهُمْ فَإِنْ شِئْتَ قَاتَلْنَا مَعَكَ فَقَالَ «نَفِي لَهُمْ بِعَهْدِهِمْ وَنَسْتَعِينُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ»

They made a pledge and covenant not to help them against us, then they sent them to the Prophet ﷺ . They said, "We made a covenant not to help them against us, but if you want, we will fight them with you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Rather, we will pardon them and seek Allah's help against them."  

الطبراني:٣٠٠١حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا أَبِي عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ
