[Machine] So we asked him, "Do you talk like this and you're Iraqi?" He replied, "Because I heard Abu Huraira narrating from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: 'Whoever is asked about knowledge and conceals it, will be brought with a bridle of fire on the Day of Judgment.'"  

الحاكم:٣٤٤ – حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نُصَيْرٍ إِمْلَاءً بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ جَاءَ الْأَعْمَشُ إِلَى عَطَاءٍ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ حَدِيثٍ

فَحَدَّثَهُ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ تُحَدِّثُ هَذَا وَهُوَ عِرَاقِيٌّ؟ قَالَ لِأَنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ فَكَتَمَهُ جِيءَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَقَدْ أُلْجِمَ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ تَدَاوَلَهُ النَّاسُ بِأَسَانِيدَ كَثِيرَةٍ تُجْمَعُ وَيُذَاكَرُ بِهَا وَهَذَا الْإِسْنَادُ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ ذَاكَرْتُ شَيْخِنَا أَبَا عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظَ بِهَذَا الْبَابِ ثُمَّ سَأَلْتُهُ هَلْ يَصِحُّ شَيْءٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَسَانِيدِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ فَقَالَ لَا قُلْتُ لِمَ؟ قَالَ لِأَنَّ عَطَاءً لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ على شرطهما

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet (PBUH), he said, "Whoever conceals knowledge that he knows, on the Day of Judgment, he will come with a muzzle made of fire."  

أحمد:١٠٥٩٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ كَتَمَ عِلْمًا يَعْلَمُهُ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَجَّمًا بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever is asked about knowledge that he has and he conceals it, will be bridled on the Day of Resurrection with reins of fire.'" (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 266)
