[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is asked about knowledge and conceals it, Allah will bridle him with a bridle of fire on the Day of Resurrection."

"So I said to him, 'He made a mistake in this regard, either Azhar bin Marwan or your teacher Ibn Ahmad Al-Wasiti, and excluding both of them is far-fetched.'"  

الحاكم:٣٤٥أَخْبَرْنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ فَكَتَمَهُ أَلْجَمَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ» «فَقُلْتُ لَهُ قَدْ أَخْطَأَ فِيهِ أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ أَوْ شَيْخُكُمُ ابْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَغَيْرُ مُسْتَبْعَدٍ مِنْهُمَا الْوَهْمُ»
