[Machine] Abu Al-Muwajjah narrated that Abdan narrated that Abdullah narrated from Wuhayb ibn Al-Ward that Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Al-Munkadir narrated from Sumayy from Abu Salih from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "Whoever dies without fighting in the cause of Allah or without having the intention to do so, dies on a branch of hypocrisy." Muslim has argued with Wuhayb ibn Al-Ward about this narration.  

الحاكم:٢٤١٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَقِيهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ قَالَا

ثنا أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ وُهَيْبِ بْنِ الْوَرْدِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ سُمَيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَغْزُ وَلَمْ يُحَدِّثْ نَفْسَهُ بِالْغَزْوِ مَاتَ عَلَى شُعْبَةٍ مِنْ نِفَاقٍ» قَدِ احْتَجَّ مُسْلِمٌ بِوُهَيْبِ بْنِ الْوَرْدِ وَ  

وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ كَبِيرٌ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَقَدْ تَابَعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْمَكِّيُّ وُهَيْبَ بْنَ الْوَرْدِ عَلَى رِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ رواه ابن المبارك وعبد الله بن رجاء المكي عن وهيب على شرط مسلم
