[Machine] "People, glorified is Allah, glorified is Allah. Then he did not sit and left while he was standing. And when he was in the last part of his prayer, he performed two prostrations while he was sitting. When he finished the prayer, he said, 'Indeed, I heard you all saying 'glorified is Allah' earlier, so that I may sit, but the Sunnah which I have done is'"  

الحاكم:١٢١٤ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُنْقِذٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ثنا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ شِمَاسَةَ الْمَهْرِيَّ يَقُولُ «صَلَّى بِنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ فَقَامَ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ» فَقَالَ

النَّاسُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ «فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ وَمَضَى عَلَى قِيَامِهِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ صَلَاتِهِ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ» فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُكُمْ آنِفًا تَقُولُونَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ لِكَيْمَا أَجْلِسَ لَكِنَّ السُّنَّةَ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُ  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»

[Machine] The people behind him exclaimed "Subhan Allah" but he did not turn around. When he finished his prayer, he prostrated twice while sitting down and said, "I heard you saying 'Subhan Allah' but it is not the Sunnah to do so when sitting. The Sunnah is what I did."  

ابن حبّان:١٩٤٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِمَاسَةَ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ فَقَامَ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ فَقَالَ

النَّاسُ وَرَاءَهُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فَقَالَ «إِنِّي سِمِعْتُكُمْ تَقُولُونَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ كَيْمَا أَجْلِسَ وَلَيْسَ تِلْكَ سُنَّةً إِنَّمَا السُّنَّةُ الَّتِي صَنَعْتُهُ»

[Machine] People exclaimed "Subhanallah, Subhanallah" in awe. Then, he realized what they wanted, so when he finished his prayer, he prostrated twice while still sitting, and said, "Indeed, I have heard your statement, this is the Sunnah."  

الطبراني:١٤٩٩٦ – حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ شِمَاسَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ §قَامَ فِي صَلَاةٍ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ فَقَالَ

النَّاسُ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ فَعَرَفَ الَّذِي يُرِيدُونَ فَلَمَّا أَتَمَّ صَلَاتَهُ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ «إِنِّي قَدْ سَمِعْتُ قَوْلَكُمْ هَذِهِ السُّنَّةُ»

[Machine] The people were behind him, glorified be Allah. He didn't sit down, so when he finished, he prostrated for two prostrations while he was sitting. Then, he said, "Indeed, I heard you saying 'glorified be Allah' when I wasn't sitting. And that is not the Sunnah (tradition), rather the Sunnah is what I have done."  

الطبراني:١٤٩٩٧ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِمَاسَةَ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ §فَقَامَ وَعَلَيْهِ جُلُوسٌ فَقَالَ

[Machine] Subhan Allah, Subhan Allah. He did not sit and continued with his prayer. When he reached the end of his prayer, he made two prostrations of inadvertence while sitting. When he finished, he said, "I heard you saying 'Subhan Allah' before I sat down, but the sunnah that I have done and narrated to you is from a group of the Companions. Sufficient for us is what we have mentioned, and through Allah is our success."
