[Machine] A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am Fulanah bint Fulan." He said, "I have recognized you, so what is your need?" She said, "My need is for my cousin Fulan Al-Abid to propose to me." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have already known him." She said, "He wants to marry me, so tell me the rights of the husband over the wife. If it is something I can handle, then I will marry him. But if it is something I cannot handle, then I will not marry." He said, "The right of the husband over the wife is that if he asks for her to lick his pus, blood, or pus-filled wound, then she should do so. If it were appropriate for a human being to prostrate to another human being, I would have commanded the wife to prostrate to her husband when he enters upon her, due to the preference Allah has given him over her." She said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not marry as long as I live in this world."
[Machine] "He came to Sham (Syria) and saw the Christians prostrating to their bishops, priests, and monks. He also saw the Jews prostrating to their rabbis and scholars. He asked, 'What is it that you are doing?' They replied, 'This is how we greet the prophets, may peace be upon them.' He said, 'We are more deserving of doing this for our Prophet.' The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, 'They have lied about their prophets just as they have distorted their scriptures. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have ordered the wife to prostrate to her husband, due to his great right upon her. A woman cannot attain true faith until she fulfills the rights of her husband, even if he asks of her (whatever he wants) while she is on the back of a camel.'"
