[Machine] I walked with the Prophet ﷺ , and he said to me, "Say, 'O Uqbah.'" So I asked, "What should I say?" He remained silent for a while and then said, "O Uqbah, say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.'" I recited it until I reached its end, and at that moment the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None has ever sought refuge in anything similar to it, neither a questioner nor one seeking refuge."

الدارمي:٣٤٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

مَشَيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ لِي «قُلْ يَا عُقْبَةُ» فَقُلْتُ أَيَّ شَيْءٍ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ فَسَكَتَ عَنِّي ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا عُقْبَةُ قُلْ» فَقُلْتُ أَيَّ شَيْءٍ أَقُولُ؟ قَالَ «قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ» فَقَرَأْتُهَا حَتَّى جِئْتُ عَلَى آخِرِهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ «مَا سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ وَلَا اسْتَعَاذَ مُسْتَعِيذٌ بِمِثْلِهَا»

I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' But he did not answer me. I said: 'O Allah, make him answer me.' He said: 'O 'Uqbah, say!' I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of the daybreak...' So I recited it until I came to the end. Then he said: 'Say,' and I said: 'What should I say, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Say: I seek refuge with (Allah) the Lord of mankind...,' so I recited it until I came to the end. Then the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'No one who asks has ever asked by means of anything like them, and no one who seeks refuge has ever sought refuge with anything like them.'"

بَيْنَمَا أَمْشِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِذْ قَالَ لِي «قُلْ يَا عُقْبَةُ» قُلْتُ لَهُ وَمَا أَقُولُ؟ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ عَنِّي قَالَ قُلْتُ فِي نَفْسِي لَئِنْ أَعَادَهَا عَلَيَّ لَأَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي «قُلْ» فَقَرَأَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ حَتَّى فَرَغَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ وَمَا اسْتَعَاذَ مُسْتَعِيذٌ بِمِثْلِهَا»
