[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever buys a slave without specifying his price, then he has nothing (i.e. no rights) over him."

الدارمي:٢٦٠٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنِ اشْتَرَى عَبْدًا وَلَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ مَالَهُ فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهُ»

ibnhibban:4921 – Abū Yaʿlá > ʿAlī b. al-Jaʿd > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > Ibn Shihāb > Sālim b. ʿAbdullāh > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever buys a palm tree after it has been pollinated and does not stipulate its fruit, then he has nothing. And whoever buys a slave and does not stipulate his money, then he has nothing."

ابن حبّان:٤٩٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنِ اشْتَرَى نَخْلًا بَعْدَمَا أُبِّرَتْ وَلَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ ثَمَرَهَا فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهُ وَمَنِ اشْتَرَى عَبْدًا وَلَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ مَالَهُ فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهُ»
