that he was asked about the wages of the one who cups others. He said, 'Messenger of Allah ﷺ was cupped by ʿAbd Taiba, to whom he gave two Sa of food and interceded for him with his masters who consequently reduced what they used to charge him daily. Then the Prophet ﷺ s said, "The best medicines you may treat yourselves with are cupping and sea incense.' He added, "You should not torture your children by treating tonsillitis by pressing the tonsils or the palate with the finger, but use incense."  

البخاري:٥٦٩٦حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَجْرِ الْحَجَّامِ فَقَالَ

احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَجَمَهُ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ وَأَعْطَاهُ صَاعَيْنِ مِنْ طَعَامٍ وَكَلَّمَ مَوَالِيَهُ فَخَفَّفُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّ أَمْثَلَ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ وَالْقُسْطُ الْبَحْرِيُّ وَقَالَ لاَ تُعَذِّبُوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ بِالْغَمْزِ مِنَ الْعُذْرَةِ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالْقُسْطِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sought cupping treatment from Abu Taybah, who ordered two bushels of barley to be given to him, and he instructed his followers to reduce his tax. He said, "The best of what you can treat yourselves with is cupping and the sea onion."  

أحمد:١٢٨٨٣حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ كَسْبِ الْحَجَّامِ قَالَ

[Machine] It is narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was cupped by Abu Taybah. He commanded him to give him two measures of food and spoke to his companions, instructing them to lighten his taxes. He said, "The best remedies that you can use are cupping and Qust al-Bahri, and do not treat your children harshly by piercing (their ears) with a needle."  

البيهقي:١٩٥٠٩أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمُحَمَّدْأَبَاذِيُّ أنبأ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ السَّعْدِيُّ أنبأ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أنبأ حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَجَمَهُ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ طَعَامٍ وَكَلَّمَ مَوَالِيَهُ فَخَفَّفُوا عَنْهُ مِنْ ضَرِيبَتِهِ وَقَالَ خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ وَالْقُسْطُ الْبَحْرِيُّ وَلَا تُعَذِّبُوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ بِالْغَمْزِ مِنَ الْعُذْرَةِ
