bukhari:5684 – ʿAyyāsh b. al-Walīd > ʿAbd al-Aʿlá > Saʿīd > Qatādah > Abū al-Mutawakkil > Abū Saʿīd

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My brother has some Abdominal trouble." The Prophet ﷺ said to him "Let him drink honey." The man came for the second time and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'Let him drink honey." He came for the third time and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Let him drink honey." He returned again and said, "I have done that ' The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Allah has said the truth, but your brother's ʿAbdomen has told a lie. Let him drink honey." So he made him drink honey and he was cured.  

البخاري:٥٦٨٤ – حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَخِي يَشْتَكِي بَطْنَهُ فَقَالَ اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً ثُمَّ أَتَى الثَّانِيَةَ فَقَالَ اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ فَعَلْتُ فَقَالَ صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ اسْقِهِ عَسَلاً فَسَقَاهُ فَبَرَأَ

A man came to the prophet and said, 'My brother has got loose motions. The Prophet ﷺ said, Let him drink honey." The man again (came) and said, 'I made him drink (honey) but that made him worse.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Allah has said the Truth, and the ʿAbdomen of your brother has told a lie." (See Hadith No. 88)

[Machine] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, my brother complains of a stomach ache." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give him honey to drink." The man said, "I have already given him to drink, but it only made him pass stool." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has spoken the truth and the stomach of your brother has lied." So, the man went and gave him honey to drink and he was cured.  

الحاكم:٨٢٢١ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَخِي يَشْتَكِي بَطْنَهُ فَقَالَ «اسْقِهِ الْعَسَلَ» فَقَالَ قَدْ سَقَيْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَزِدْهُ إِلَّا اسْتِطْلَاقًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ «صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَكَذَبَ بَطْنُ أَخِيكَ» فَذَهَبَ فَسَقَاهُ فَبَرَأَ  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» على شرط مسلم

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, my brother complains of stomach pain." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Give him some honey to drink." So he gave him some honey to drink, and he said, "I have already given him some, but it only made his condition worse." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has spoken the truth and the stomach of your brother has lied." Shu'ayb ibn Abdur Rahman disagreed with him in his chain of narration and in the text.  

الكبرى للنسائي:٦٦٧٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ
