Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "(A believer) who accompanies the funeral procession of a Muslim out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's reward and remains with it till the funeral prayer is offered and the burial ceremonies are over, he will return with a reward of two Qirats. Each Qirat is like the size of the (Mount) Uhud. He who offers the funeral prayer only and returns before the burial, will return with the reward of one Qirat only."

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ : Whoever follows a Muslim funeral in faith and anticipation, then prays upon it and stays until it is buried, will return with two qirats of reward, and each qirat is equal to the size of Mount Uhud. And whoever prays upon it and leaves before it is buried, then indeed, he will only return with one qirat.

And whoever offers the funeral prayer and then leaves before the burial, he will return with one great reward." Ishaq said: "Out of faith and seeking reward." And he said: "And if he leaves before it is placed in the grave, he will return with a reward."
