Once I went upstairs in Hafsa's house and saw the Prophet ﷺ answering the call of nature with his back towards the Qibla and facing Sham.

I went up to the roof of Hafsa's house for some job and I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ answering the call of nature facing Sham (Syria, Jordan, Palestine and Lebanon regarded as one country) with his back towards the Qibla. (See Hadith No. 147).

"One day I climbed on Hafsah's house, and I saw the Prophet relieving himself while facing Ash-Sham, with his back toward the Ka'bah."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

[Machine] I travelled one day above Hafsa's house and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ facing towards the direction of Syria and having his back towards the Qibla.

«رَقِيتُ فَوْقَ بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ جَالِسًا عَلَى مَقْعَدَتِهِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ مُسْتَدْبِرَ الشَّامِ»
