The Euphrates will uncover a treasure of gold

bazzar:7552 – ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd Abū Saʿīd al-Ashajj al-Kindī > ʿUqbah b. Khālid > ʿUbaydullāh b. ʿUmar > Khubayb b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān > Ḥafṣ b. ʿĀṣim > Abū Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Euphrates will soon uncover a treasure of gold; whoever finds it must not take anything from it."

Ubaydullah said: Abu al-Zinad narrated to me, from al-Araj, from Abu Hurayrah, that he said: "from a mountain of gold."

We do not know of anyone who narrated this hadith from Ubaydullah except Uqbah ibn Khalid.

البزّار:٧٥٥٢ – حَدَّثنا عَبد اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيد أَبُو سَعِيد الأشج الكندي قَال حَدَّثنا عقبة بن خالد قَال حَدَّثنا عُبَيد الله بن عُمَر عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَن حَفْصِ بن عَاصِم عَن أبي هُرَيرة

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ ﷺ يوشك الفرات أن يحسر عن كنز من ذهب فمن وجده فلا يأخذ منه شيئا قال عُبَيد الله وحدثني أَبُو الزِّنَاد عَن الأَعرَج عَن أبي هُرَيرة؛ أنه قال عن جبل من ذهب وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عُبَيد الله إلاَّ عقبة بن خالد

وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ إِلَّا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ

Uqbah said: Ubaydullah also narrated to us: Abu al-Zinad narrated to us, from al-Araj, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, the like of it, except that he said: "It will recede, exposing a mountain of gold."

البخاري:٧١١٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «يُوشِكُ الْفُرَاتُ أَنْ يَحْسِرَ عَنْ كَنْزٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَمَنْ حَضَرَهُ فَلاَ يَأْخُذْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا».

قَالَ عُقْبَةُ: وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِثْلَهُ، إِلاَّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «يَحْسِرُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ».
