[Machine] He is called Abu 'Umayr. The Prophet ﷺ used to play with him when he entered the house of Umm Sulaym. One day, he entered and found him sad, so he said, "Why is Abu 'Umayr sad?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, his pet bird, which he used to play with, has died." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Abu 'Umayr, what happened to the little bird?"  

البيهقي:٩٩٩٣وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ابْنُ الْحَمَّامِيِّ بِبَغْدَادَ أنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنٌ لِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ

يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو عُمَيْرٍ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رُبَّمَا مَازَحَهُ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ فَدَخَلَ يَوْمًا فَوَجَدَهُ حَزِينًا فَقَالَ مَا لِأَبِي عُمَيْرٍ حَزِينًا؟ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاتَ نُغَيْرُهُ الَّذِي كَانَ يَلْعَبُ بِهِ جَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ؟

The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) used to come to visit us. I had a younger brother who was called Abu ‘Umair by Kunyah (surname). He had a sparrow with which he played, but it died. So one day the prophet (May peace be upon him) came to see him and saw him grieved. He asked: What is the matter with him? The people replied: His sparrow has died. He then said: Abu ‘Umair! What has happened to the little sparrow?  

أبو داود:٤٩٦٩حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْنَا وَلِي أَخٌ صَغِيرٌ يُكْنَى أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ نُغَرٌ يَلْعَبُ بِهِ فَمَاتَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَرَآهُ حَزِينًا فَقَالَ مَا شَأْنُهُ قَالُوا مَاتَ نُغَرُهُ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to visit Umm Salim, and she had a son from Abu Talha, who was known as Abu Umair. He used to joke with him, so he entered and saw him sad. He said, "Why do I see Abu Umair sad?" They said, "His pet bird, which he used to play with, has died." He then started saying, "What did the Nughair do?"  

أحمد:١٢٩٥٧حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

[Machine] He is called Abu Umair and he had a pet bird. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , used to visit it and see it sad, so he asked, "What happened to Abu Umair?" They said, "O Messenger of Allah, his bird has died." He then began to say, "O Abu Umair, what happened to the bird?"
