[Machine] Abu Talhah used to come to his family after the morning prayer and ask, "Do you have any food for lunch?" If they said no, he would fast that day and say, "I am fasting."  

البيهقي:٧٩١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا رَوْحٌ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ كَانَ يَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ مِنَ الضُّحَى فَيَقُولُ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنْ غَدَاءٍ؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا لَا صَامَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ وَقَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ
