[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to me one day and said, "Do you have anything?" I said, "No." He said, "Then I will fast." And this is a authentic chain of narration.  

البيهقي:٧٩١٦وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَقَالَ أَعِنْدَكِ شَيْءٌ؟ قُلْتُ لَا قَالَ إِذًا أَصُومُ وَهَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ
