[Machine] I saw Abu Huraira walking around the market, then he would come to his family and say, "Do you have anything?" If they said no, he would say, "Then I am fasting."  

البيهقي:٧٩١٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ وَأَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَعْرُوفِ الْفَقِيهُ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ نُجَيْدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ نَجِيحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَطُوفُ بِالسُّوقِ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ فَيَقُولُ أَعِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ؟ فَإِنْ قَالُوا لَا قَالَ فَأَنَا صَائِمٌ
