One of the oaths which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ received from us about the virtue was that we would not disobey him in it (virtue): that we would not scratch the face, nor wail, nor tear the front of the garments nor dishevel the hair. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3131)   

البيهقي:٧١٢١أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ ثنا الْحَجَّاجُ عَامِلُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَلَى الرَّبَذَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَسِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَسِيدٍ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْمُبَايِعَاتِ قَالَتْ

كَانَ فِيمَا أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَعْرُوفِ الَّذِي أَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا أَنْ لَا نَعْصِيَهُ فِيهِ أَنْ لَا نَخْمِشَ وَجْهًا وَلَا نَدْعُوَ وَيْلًا وَلَا نَشُقَّ جَيْبًا وَلَا نَنْشُرَ شَعْرًا

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us that Al-Hajjaj ibn Safwan narrated from Usayd ibn Abi Usayd Al-Barradi, from a woman among the women who gave allegiance (to the Prophet Muhammad), she said, "Among what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took from us was that we should not disobey him in what is known (to be good), and that we should not scratch our faces, nor spread our hair, nor tear our garments, nor curse anyone."  

الطبراني:٢٢٠١٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا
