bayhaqi:6378Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥāfiẓ > ʿAlī b. Ḥamshādh al-ʿAdl > ʿUbayd b. Muḥammad al-Ḥāfiẓ > Muḥammad b. Abū Ṣafwān > Ḥirmī b. ʿUmārah > ʿUbaydullāh b. al-Naḍr from my father > Kānat Ẓulmah > ʿAhd Anas b. Mālik

Ubaydullah ibn an-Nadr reported on the authority of his father: Darkness prevailed in the time of Anas ibn Malik, I came to Anas and said (to him): AbuHamzah, did anything like this happen to you in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He replied: Take refuge in Allah. If the wind blew violently, we would run quickly towards the mosque for fear of the coming of the Day of Judgment. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1196)

فَأَتَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ هَلْ كَانَ يُصِيبكُمْ مِثْلُ هَذَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ مَعَاذَ اللهِ إِنْ كَانَتِ الرِّيحُ لَتَشْتَدُّ فَنُبَادِرُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ مَخَافَةَ الْقِيَامَةِ
