[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "O people, the world is only a temporary provision in which the righteous and the wicked eat from. And the Hereafter is a true promise in which a just ruler will govern, where truth will prevail and falsehood will be nullified."

البيهقي:٥٨٠٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْحَمَامِيِّ الْمُقْرِئُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْهَيْثَمِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا الدُّنْيَا عَرَضٌ حَاضِرٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ وَالْآخِرَةُ وَعْدٌ صَادِقٌ يَحْكُمُ فِيهَا مَلِكٌ عَادِلٌ يُحِقُّ فِيهَا الْحَقَّ وَيُبْطِلُ الْبَاطِلَ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "O people, surely this world is a present, both the righteous and the wicked consume from it, and the Hereafter is a true promise, in which a powerful king will judge, giving the rights their due and nullifying falsehood. O people, be children of the Hereafter and not children of the world, for every mother is followed by her offspring."

الطبراني:٧١٥٨ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوُحَاظِيُّ ثنا أَبُو مَهْدِيٍّ سَعِيدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ أَبِي شَجَرَةَ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

"الدُّنيَا عَرَضٌ حَاضرٌ يأكُلُ منْها البَرُّ والفَاجِرُ، وإنَّ الآخِرةَ وَعْدٌ صَادقٌ يَحْكمُ فيها مَلِكٌ قَادِرٌ يُحِقُّ الحقَّ وَيُبطِلُ البَاطِلَ، فكُونُوا من أَبْناءِ الآخِرةِ ولا تكُونُوا مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ الدُّنْيَا، فإِنَّ كُلَّ أمٍ يَتْبَعُها وَلَدُهَا".
