[Machine] Ubaidullah, when Abu Hurairah finished, I walked up to him and said, "I have read two Surahs that I heard Ali ibn Abi Talib recite in prayer." Abu Hurairah replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite them."

البيهقي:٥٧٢٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ اسْتَخْلَفَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَقَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ قَالَ

عُبَيْدُ اللهِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَشَيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ لَقَدْ قَرَأْتَ بِسُورَتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ يَقْرَأُ بِهِمَا فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ بِهِمَا

[Machine] Marwan used to appoint Abu Hurairah as the governor of Medina, so he appointed him once. Abu Hurairah then led the Friday prayer and recited Surah Al-Jumu'ah. When the hypocrites left, I walked with him and said, "O Abu Hurairah, you recited two Surahs." He replied, "My beloved, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , recited them."

أحمد:٩٥٥٠ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ وَكَانَ كَاتِبًا لِعَلِيٍّ قَالَ

كَانَ مَرْوَانُ يَسْتَخْلِفُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَخْلَفَهُ مَرَّةً فَصَلَّى الْجُمُعَةَ فَقَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَإِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ مَشَيْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَرَأْتَ بِسُورَتَيْنِ قَرَأَ بِهِمَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ قَرَأَ بِهِمَا حِبِّي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ
