bayhaqi:4456 – Abū Muḥammad Daʿlaj b. Aḥmad b. Daʿlaj > ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal > Yaḥyá b. Maʿīn > Mihrān / al-Rāzī > Abū Sinān > ʿAmr b. Murrah > Abū ʿUbaydah > ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd ؓ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Perform the night prayer, O people of the Quran." A Bedouin man asked, "What does the Prophet ﷺ say?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "You are not one of them." This was narrated by Sufyan Ath-Thawri from Amr ibn Murrah and he transmitted it.  

البيهقي:٤٤٥٦ – وَأنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ دَعْلَجُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ دَعْلَجٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ ثنا مِهْرَانُ يَعْنِي الرَّازِيَّ عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْتِرُوا يَا أَهْلَ الْقُرْآنِ قَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ مَا يَقُولُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ لَسْتَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَرَوَاهُ سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ فَأَرْسَلَهُ
