[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , said: "Perform Witr prayer, O people of the Quran, as Allah, the Exalted, is One and loves odd numbers." So, a Bedouin asked, "What does the Messenger of Allah, may ﷺ , say?" He was told, "This does not concern you nor your companions."

البيهقي:٤٤٥٧ – أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْتِرُوا يَا أَصْحَابَ الْقُرْآنِ إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ مَا يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ لَكَ وَلَا لِأَصْحَابِكَ هَكَذَا

رَوَاهُ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَيُقَالُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ الثَّوْرِيُّ مِنْ عَمْرٍو إِنَّمَا سَمِعَهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ عَمْرٍو وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ فَذَكَرَ فِيهِ عَبْدَ اللهِ وَلَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ وَالْحَدِيثُ مَعَ ذِكْرِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِيهِ مُنْقَطِعٌ؛ لِأَنَّ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ أَبَاهُ
