[Machine] He used to recite Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim aloud and also used to recite the Surah aloud.  

البيهقي:٣٠٥٨ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ أنبأ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ بِهَا ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَجْهَرُ إِذَا قَرَأَ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَإِذَا قَرَأَ السُّورَةَ جَهَرَ بِهَا أَيْضًا

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ «إِذَا جَاءَهُ جِبْرِيلُ فَقَرَأَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ عَلِمَ أَنَّهَا سُورَةٌ»  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ»
