البيهقي:٢٠٩٢٩ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ثنا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ قَالَ مَرَّ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ عَلَى قَوْمٍ يَلْعَبُونَ بِالشِّطْرَنْجِ فَقَالَ

{مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ} [الأنبياء 52]؟

When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"  

when he said to his father and his people, ‘What are these images, ˹these˺ idols, to which you ˹constantly˺ cleave?’, that is, which you are constantly worshipping.
القرآن:٢١:٥٢ –

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ  

{إذ قال لأبيه وقومه ما هذه التماثيل} الأصنام {التي أنتم لها عاكفون} أي على عبادتها مقيمون.

{مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ} [الأنبياء 52]؟ لَأَنْ يَمَسَّ جَمْرًا حَتَّى يُطْفَأَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمَسَّهَا
