[Machine] On the authority of Zaid bin Arqam, they said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "What are these sacrifices?" He said, "They are the tradition of your father Ibrahim ﷺ ." They said, "What reward do we have in it?" He said, "For every good deed, there is a reward."
عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ؓ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا هَذِهِ الْأَضَاحِيُّ؟ قَالَ سُنَّةُ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ قَالُوا مَا لَنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْأَجْرِ؟ قَالَ بِكُلِّ قَطْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ
“The Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what are these sacrifices?’ He said: ‘The Sunnah of your father Ibrahim.’ They said: ‘What is there for us in them, O Messenger of Allah?’ He said: ‘For every hair, one merit.’ They said: ‘What about wool, O Messenger of Allah?’ He said: ‘For every hair of wool, one merit.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3127)
قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا هَذِهِ الْأَضَاحِيُّ؟ قَالَ «سُنَّةُ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ» قَالُوا فَمَا لَنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْأَجْرِ؟ قَالَ «بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ» قَالُوا فَالصُّوفُ قَالَ «بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ»
"عن زيد بن أرقم أنهم قالوا: يا رسول الله هذه الأضاحى ما هى؟ قال: ملة أبيكم. قالوا: فما لنا فيها؟ قال: بكل شعرة حسنة. قالوا: فالصوف؟ قال: بكل صوفة حسنة".
