The Prophet; said, "A slave (of Allah) may utter a word which pleases Allah without giving it much importance, and because of that Allah will raise him to degrees (of reward): a slave (of Allah) may utter a word (carelessly) which displeases Allah without thinking of its gravity and because of that he will be thrown into the Hell-Fire." Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar that Abu Salih as- Samman informed him that Abu Hurayra said, "Truly a man utters words to which he attaches no importance, and by them he falls into the fire of Jahannam, and truly a man utters words to which he attaches no importance, and by them Allah raises him into the Garden."  

مالك:٥٦-٦وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, a man may speak a word that angers Allah without realizing its severity, so Allah writes His anger against him until the day they meet. And indeed, a man may speak a word that pleases Allah without realizing its significance, so Allah writes His satisfaction with him until the day they meet."  

الطبراني:١١٣٥حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَقَّاصٍ عَنْ بِلَالِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ سَخَطِ اللهِ لَا يَدْرِي مَا بَلَغَتْ فَيَكْتُبُ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا سَخَطَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهُ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مِنْ رِضْوَانِ اللهِ لَا يَدْرِي مَا بَلَغَتْ فَيَكْتُبُ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا رِضَاهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَاهُ»
