[Machine] "I have not come to sit with you, but I have come to inform you of a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard him say, 'Whoever removes his hand from obedience (to the ruler), he will meet Allah on the Day of Judgment with no proof for him. And whoever dies without a pledge of allegiance on his neck, he dies the death of ignorance.'"

البيهقي:١٦٦١٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الرُّزَازُ ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ ثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ وَسَالِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ جَاءَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ قَالَ هَاتُوا لِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وِسَادَةً قَالَ

إِنِّي لَمْ أَجِئْكَ لِأَجْلِسَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُكَ لِأُحَدِّثَكَ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ مَنْ خَلَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَقِيَ اللهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَاصِمٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ سَالِمًا فِي إِسْنَادِهِ

Place a pillow for Abu 'Abd al-Rahman (family name of 'Abdullah b. 'Umar). But the latter said: I have not come to sit with you. I have come to you to tell you a tradition I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard him say: One who withdraws his band from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defence) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and one who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahillyya.

مسلم:١٨٥١a – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ جَاءَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ حِينَ كَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِ الْحَرَّةِ مَا كَانَ زَمَنَ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقَالَ اطْرَحُوا لأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وِسَادَةً فَقَالَ

إِنِّي لَمْ آتِكَ لأَجْلِسَ أَتَيْتُكَ لأُحَدِّثَكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ خَلَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَلَيْسَ فِي عُنُقِهِ بَيْعَةٌ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

[Machine] "Welcome Abu Abdul Rahman, provide him a cushion," he said. "I have come to speak to you a narration I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever removes his hand from obedience to Allah, he will come on the Day of Judgment with no evidence for himself. And whoever dies while being separated from the group, he will die the death of ignorance.'"

أحمد:٥٥٥١ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ فَقَالَ

مَرْحَبًا بِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ضَعُوا لَهُ وِسَادَةً فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُكَ لِأُحَدِّثَكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مَنْ طَاعَةِ اللهِ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ وَمَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ مَفَارِقٌ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً

ذِكْرُ إِثْبَاتِ مَوْتِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ بِالْمُفَارِقِ جَمَاعَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

[Machine] "I did not come to sit, but rather I came to speak to you two words that I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him. I heard the Messenger of Allahﷺ saying, 'Whoever withdraws his hand from obedience (to Allah), he will not have any proof (excuse) on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever dies while being separate from the congregation, then indeed he will die the death of ignorance.'"

ابن حبّان:٤٥٧٨ – أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَتَى ابْنَ مُطِيعٍ لَيَالِي الْحَرَّةِ فَقَالَ ضَعُوا لِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وِسَادَةً فَقَالَ

إِنِّي لَمْ آتِ لِأَجْلِسَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ لِأُكَلِّمَكَ كَلِمَتَيْنِ سَمِعْتُهُمَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ نَزَعَ يَدًا مِنْ طَاعَةٍ لَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ حُجَّةٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ مَاتَ مُفَارِقَ الْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَمُوتُ مَوْتَةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ»
