[Machine] When we used to pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ regarding listening and obeying, he would say to us, "Do as much as you are able to do."

We used to take oath to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that we would listen to and obey his orders. He would tell us (to say in the oath): As far as it lies in my power.

Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn Dinar that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "When we took an oath of allegiance with him to hear and obey, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, 'In what you are able.' "
