[Machine] "He introduced her for a year, and if she becomes well-known, then that's it. If not, she is yours." But she did not become well-known, so he met her with it in the following year during the season and mentioned it to him. Umar said, "She is yours, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered us to do that." He replied, "I don't need it." Umar took it and placed it in the treasury.  

«عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ عُرِفَتْ فَذَاكَ وَإِلَّا فَهِيَ لَكَ» فَلَمْ تُعْرَفْ فَلَقِيَهُ بِهَا فِي الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ فِي الْمَوْسِمِ فَذَكَرَهَا لَهُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ «هِيَ لَكَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنَا بِذَلِكَ» قَالَ لَا حَاجَةَ لِي بِهَا فَقَبَضَهَا عُمَرُ فَجَعَلَهَا فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ  

[Machine] I introduced her as my wife for a year. If she is recognized, then it's fine, and if not, then she is yours. And since she was not recognized, I met him in the following year of the season, and I mentioned her to him. He said, "She is yours, as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us with that." I said, "I don't need her." So Umar took her and placed her in the treasury.

"عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ عَيْبَةً فَأَتَى بِهَا عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ: عَرِّفْها سَنةً فإنْ لَمْ تُعْرَفْ فَهِىَ لَكَ، فَفَعَلَ فَلَمْ تُعْرَفْ، قَالَ عُمَرُ: فَهِىَ لَكَ؛ فَإنَّ رسُول الله ﷺ أَمَرَنَا بِذلكَ، قَال: لَا حَاجةَ لِى بِهَا، فَقبَضَها عُمَرُ فَجَعَلَهَا فىِ بَيْتِ الْمالِ".
