[Machine] I heard Al-Bara'a ibn 'Azib saying: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited us from seven things: He prohibited us from wearing a gold ring or gold jewelry, and from wearing silk, and from using istabraq (a type of luxurious fabric), and from wearing decorative shoes, and from using red saddle blankets, and from wearing coarse woolen clothing, and from using silver utensils."  

البيهقي:١٠٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ مَحْمَوَيْهِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَلَانِسِيُّ ثنا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ ثنا الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ يَقُولُ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ سَبْعٍ نَهَانَا عَنْ خَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ أَوْ قَالَ حَلْقَةِ الذَّهَبِ وَعَنِ الْحَرِيرِ وَالْإِسْتَبْرَقِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ وَالْمِيثَرَةِ الْحَمْرَاءِ وَالْقَسِّيِّ وَآنِيَةِ الْفِضَّةِ  

أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ آدَمَ وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade us to use seven things: He forbade using gold rings, silk, Istabraq, Dibaj, red Mayathir, Al-Qassiy, and silver utensils. He ordered us to do seven other things. To pay a visit to the sick; to follow funeral processions; to say, "May Allah be merciful to you" to a sneezer if he says "Praise be to Allah"; to return greetings, to accept invitations; to help others to fulfil their oaths and to help the oppressed ones.  

البخاري:٥٨٦٣ – حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ قَالَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to do seven things and forbade us from doing seven things. He commanded us to visit the sick, follow the funeral processions, return greetings, respond to the caller, fulfill agreements, bless the sneezer, and support the oppressed. He forbade us from wearing gold rings, drinking from silver vessels, wearing silk, wearing leopard skin, wearing expensive clothing, and drinking from cups with pictures on them.
