[Machine] A man insulted Abu Bakr and the Prophet ﷺ while the Prophet ﷺ was sitting, and the Prophet ﷺ started to be amazed and smiled. When the man continued his insults, the Prophet ﷺ got angry and stood up. Abu Bakr followed him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, he insulted me while you were sitting, but when I responded, you got angry and stood up." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "There was an angel with you who was responding on your behalf. But when you responded back, the devil took his place, and I could not sit with the devil." Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Abu Bakr, there are three situations, all of which are true. For no servant who is wronged without Allah granting him relief because of it, nor has anyone opened the door seeking closeness to Allah except that Allah has increased him in abundance, and no one has opened the door of begging seeking abundance except that Allah has made him more needy."

[Machine] A man began to insult Abu Bakr and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while they were sitting, and he found it amusing and smiled. When this continued, Abu Bakr responded to him with some of his words, which made the Messenger of Allah ﷺ angry. He stood up and Abu Bakr followed him, saying, "O Messenger of Allah, he was insulting me while you were sitting. When I responded to him with some of his words, you became angry and stood up." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, there was someone with you who was warding off harm from you. But when you responded to him, the Shaytan sat down, and I did not want to sit with the Shaytan." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abu Bakr, there is no servant who is wronged and accepts it for the sake of Allah except that Allah grants him victory because of it."
