We heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “I am not to be inherited from.ʿ (Using translation from Aḥmad 79)

أحمد:٨٦٣٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخَفَّافُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ جَاءَتْ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ تَطْلُبُ مِيرَاثَهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَا لَهَا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنِّي لَا أُوَرَّثُ

"عن أبى هريرة أن فاطمة جَاءَتْ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ تَطلُبُ مِيرَاثَها مِنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ فَقَالَا: سَمِعْنَاه يَقولُ: "لا وَارِثَ".

[حم] أحمد [ق] البيهقى في السنن وَلَفْظُهُ: "لا نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا" وَلَفْظه: "مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَة"
