[Machine] Abu Huraira prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a loud voice, then he said the salutation and faced the people. He said, "Did anyone recite with me beforehand?" They said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah." He said, "Why did I not compete with the Quran?"
أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةً يَجْهَرُ فِيهَا ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِي أَحَدٌ آنِفًا؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ إِنِّي أَقُولُ مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ؟
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished a prayer in which he recited out loud, then he said: 'Did any one of you recite with me just now?' A man said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'I was wondering what was distracting me in reciting Quran.'" So the people stopped reciting in prayers in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited out loud when they heard that. أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى صَلَاةً جَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بَعْدَمَا سَلَّمَ فَقَالَ هَلْ قَرَأَ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ مَعِي آنِفًا؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ إِنِّي أَقُولُ مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ فَانْتَهَى النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيمَا يَجْهَرُ بِهِ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ
[Machine] Heﷺ said to us, the messenger of Allahﷺ led us in prayer in which he recited aloud. When he finished, he turned to the people and said, "Did anyone among you recite before me?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "I would never argue with the Quran."
أَنَّهُ قَالَ صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَاةً فَجَهَرَ فِيهَا فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ اسْتَقْبَلَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ «هَلْ قَرَأَ آنِفًا مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ؟ » قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ «لَأَقُولُ مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ! »
[Machine] Abu Huraira heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ leading us in prayer and he recited loudly. When he finished the prayer, he said, "Did any one of you recite with me?" They replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Why did I not hear anyone arguing with me in the recitation of the Qur'an?"
سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ صَلَاةً فَجَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ «هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِي مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ آنِفًا؟ » قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «إِنِّي أَقُولُ مَا لِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ؟ »
"إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى صَلَاةً يَجْهَرُ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بَعْدَمَا سَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: هَلْ قَرأَ مِنْكُمْ مَعِى أَحَدٌ آنِفًا؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ الله! قَالَ: إِنِّى أَقُولُ مَالِىَ أُنَازعُ الْقُرآنَ فَانْتَهَى النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِيمَا يَجْهَرُ بِهِ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ".
