ahmad:6145 – Yaʿqūb from my father > Ṣāliḥ > Nāfiʿ > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar

[Machine] He informed him and said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ surveyed the people of Qalib in the Battle of Badr, then he called out to them and said, 'O people of Qalib, have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?' Some of his companions said, 'O Messenger of Allah, are you calling out to dead people?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Are you not able to hear what I am saying to them?'"  

أحمد:٦١٤٥ – حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ اطَّلَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقَلِيبِ بِبَدْرٍ ثُمَّ نَادَاهُمْ فَقَالَ يَا أَهْلَ الْقَلِيبِ هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا؟ قَالَ أُنَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتُنَادِي نَاسًا أَمْوَاتًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا أَنْتُمْ بِأَسْمَعَ لِمَا قُلْتُ مِنْهُمْ

The Prophet ﷺ looked at the people of the well (the well in which the bodies of the pagans killed in the Battle of Badr were thrown) and said, "Have you found true what your Lord promised you?" Somebody said to him, "You are addressing dead people." He replied, "You do not hear better than they but they cannot reply."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood before the people of Qalib and said, "O people of Qalib, did you find what your Lord promised you to be true? For I have found that what my Lord promised me is true." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, can they hear us?" He said, "They cannot hear what I say to them, but today they do not respond."  

الطبراني:١٠٣٢٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَشَلُّ عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْقَلِيبِ فَقَالَ «يَا أَهْلَ الْقَلِيبِ هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا؟ فَإِنِّي قَدْ وَجَدْتُ مَا وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي حَقًّا» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَ؟ قَالَ «مَا أَنْتُمْ بِأَسْمَعَ لِمَا أَقُولُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَكِنَّهُمُ الْيَوْمَ لَا يُجِيبُونَ»
