Anger of Allah upon self righteousness, arrogant, and the delusional

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever exalts himself, or walks arrogantly (self righteously) will meet Allah while He is angry with him."  

أحمد:٥٩٩٥ – حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ الْحَنَفِيُّ يَمَامِيٌّ سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَعَظَّمَ فِي نَفْسِهِ أَوِ اخْتَالَ فِي مِشْيَتِهِ لَقِيَ اللهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ
