"We entered upon 'Abdullah at midday and he said: 'There will be rulers who would be distracted from praying on time, so pray on time.' Then he stood up and prayed between him and I, and said: 'This is what I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 799)   

أحمد:٤٠٣٠ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَنْتَرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ قَالَ

اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلْقَمَةُ وَالْأَسْوَدُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ سَيَلِيكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ يَشْتَغِلُونَ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلُّوهَا لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

"عَنْ عَبْد الرَّحْمَن بْن الأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ اسْتَأذَنَ عَلْقَمَةُ وَالأَسْوَدُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الله، فَأَذِنَ لَهُمَا، وَقالَ: إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يُشْغَلُونَ عَنْ وَقْت الصَّلَاة، فَصَلُّوهَا لوَقْتهَا، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى بَيْنى وَبَيْنَهُ، وَقَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ فَعَلَ".
