[Machine] "I used to say goodbye to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in prayer, and he would respond to me. One day, I greeted him and he did not respond to me at all. I found this strange within myself, so I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I used to greet you while you were in prayer and you would respond to me. But today, when I greeted you, you did not respond.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Indeed, Allah speaks about His affairs as He wills.'"  

أحمد:٣٩٤٤حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ وَابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ الْمَعْنَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ عَنْ أَبِي الرَّضْرَاضِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ

كُنْتُ أُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَيَرُدُّ عَلَيَّ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا فَوَجَدْتُ فِي نَفْسِي فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كُنْتُ أُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكَوَأَنْتَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَتَرُدُّ عَلَيَّ وَإِنِّي سَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْكَ فَلَمْ تَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ شَيْئًا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ يُحْدِثُ فِي أَمْرِهِ مَا يَشَاءُ

[Machine] I greeted the Prophet (PBUH) and he responded with a greeting. I greeted him again, but he did not respond. So, I said, "I greeted you, and you did not respond." He replied, "Indeed, Allah does as He wills in His affairs."
