[Machine] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed Umrah at Dhul-Hulayfah in his 'Umrah, he informed the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that the Quraysh said they were not worthy of being sought after for trade because of their poverty. So his companions said, "If we shave our heads and eat from its meat and drink from its broth, we will become strong tomorrow when we meet the people. Won't we have provisions?" He ﷺ said, "Don't do that, but gather your provisions for me." So they gathered for him and spread out their food. They ate until they were full, then they turned and each of them stuffed his bag with food. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ moved forward until he entered the Masjid. The Quraysh were sitting near the corner, so he tapped his cloak and said, "Do not see from you people any whimpering. Take the corner." Then he entered until he reached the Yamani corner, then he went to the Black Stone corner. The Quraysh said, "What do they agree upon in walking in such a manner that they jump like wild animals?" So he did that three times, completing the Tawaf. Abu Al-Tufail said, "Ibn Abbas informed me that the Prophet ﷺ did that during his Farewell Hajj."

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ stayed in Mecca during the time of the noon prayer, he learned that the people of Quraysh were saying that the companions of Muhammad ﷺ had gathered weak and frivolous individuals. The Prophet's companions said, "O Prophet of Allah, if we were to slaughter from our livestock, eat their meat and fat, and make soup from their broth, we would have enough for the morning when we attack them. We would also have bows and arrows to use." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "No, but bring me what provisions you have left." So they brought him their remaining provisions and he spread them out. Then they poured onto them what was left of their own provisions. The Prophet ﷺ supplicated for blessings upon them and they ate until they were full. They then filled their bags with the remaining provisions and set out towards the enemy. The Prophet ﷺ said to them, "May you not see any harm." The Prophet ﷺ and his companions made three circuits and walked four [times] between Safa and Marwa. The polytheists were at Al-Hijr and near the house of Al-Nadwah. When the companions of the Prophet ﷺ disappeared from sight between Al-Ruknayn (Yemeni and Aswad corners), they walked and then appeared to the polytheists. The people of Quraysh said, "By Allah, they are like gazelles." This became a tradition.

[Machine] I asked Abu Tufayl, "What are the three corners that are attached to the Kaaba?" Abu Tufayl replied, "I asked Ibn Abbas about them, and he said that when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ conquered the city of Makkah, the companions of the Prophet were informed that the Quraysh used to say they would feed the weak. So the companions said, 'O Messenger of Allah, if we eat from our back (animal) parts, eat from its fats and drink its broth, we will have enough until we meet the people, and we have with us our cooking pots.' The Prophet replied, 'No, bring me the best of your supplies.' So they spread out their containers and gathered all their food in them. The Prophet then made supplication for them, asking for blessings in the food. They ate until they were full and satisfied. They even filled their pouches with the remaining food. When the Prophet entered the gathering of the Quraysh, and they gathered near the Black Stone, the Prophet pointed with his finger, and then said to his companions, 'Let the people not see any resentment from you.' He then took the Yemeni corner and the Quraysh gradually dispersed. The Prophet, along with his companions, then approached the Black Stone and completed three circuits around it. This is why Quraysh used to say, as they passed by, 'They are like gazelles.' Ibn Abbas said, 'This was a practice (Sunnah) of the Prophet.'"
