[Machine] That the Prophet of Allah ﷺ used to visit her every Friday and that she said, "O Prophet of Allah, on the day of Badr, may I go out with you to treat your sick and heal your wounded, so that perhaps Allah will guide me to martyrdom?" He said to her, "Stay behind, for indeed Allah will guide you to martyrdom." And she was a freed slave girl and had a servant boy with her. So they prolonged their stay until he attacked her in the night in Al-Qatif until she died. They fled and came to Umar and it was said to him, "Indeed, Umm Waraqah has been killed by her servant boy and her servant girl and they fled." Umar stood up among the people and said, "Verily, the Messenger of Allah used to visit Umm Waraqah and say, 'Let us go and visit the female martyr.' And indeed, so-and-so, her servant girl, and so-and-so, her servant boy, attacked her, and then they fled, and no one is sheltering them. And whoever finds them, bring them to me." So they were brought to him and they were crucified, and they were the first two to be crucified.

[Machine] About Umm Waraqah bint Abdullah ibn Al-Harith Al-Ansariyyah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit her and call her "the martyr." She had collected the Quran, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was going to fight in the Battle of Badr, she asked him for permission to go with him to treat their wounds and care for their sick, hoping that Allah will bestow martyrdom upon her. He replied, "Indeed, Allah will grant you martyrdom." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ instructed her to lead the people of her household in prayer, and she had a mu'adhin (caller to prayer). She led the people of her household in prayer until a slave girl and a young boy came to her and killed her during the caliphate of Umar. When it was reported to him that Umm Waraqah had been killed by her slave and her maid, he stood amongst the people and said, "Indeed, Umm Waraqah was attacked by her slave and her maid, and they killed her. They have fled, so catch them." They were apprehended and crucified, becoming the first people to be crucified in Madinah. Umar said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke the truth. He used to say, 'Let us go visit the martyr.'"

[Machine] Narrated Um Waraqa bint Abdullah ibn al-Harith: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to visit her and he would call her Al-Shahidah (the witness). She had assembled the Qur'an and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to the Battle of Badr, she asked for his permission to accompany him so that she could treat the wounded and look after the sick. Perhaps Allah, the Most High, might bless her with martyrdom. He granted her permission saying, "Indeed, Allah the Most High, has prepared martyrdom for you." So he called her Al-Shahidah. The Prophet ﷺ had commanded her to lead her household in prayer. She had a maidservant and a young boy who she had taken care of, and they killed her during Umar's rule. It was said that Um Waraqa's maid and her young boy killed her, and they fled. When they were captured, they were brought to her and crucified. They were the first two people to be crucified in Medina. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke the truth when he said, 'Go and pay a visit to Al-Shahidah.'"
