The Messenger of Allah ordered him to be washed with water and sidr (a medicinal plant), and to be shrouded in two garments. He also stated that no perfume should be applied to him outside his head. Shu'bah said, "Later on, he (the man) told me that it should be outside his head or face, as he will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with his entire body covered."
