[Machine] I heard Abu Al-Tufail saying, "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ threw three pebbles from one stone to another."  

أحمد:٢٣٨٠٦حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَمَلَ ثَلَاثًا مِنَ الْحَجَرِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ

It was narrated from Jabir that the Prophet ﷺ walked briskly (Ramala), from the Hijr to the Hijr, three times, then he walked normally for four.  

ابن ماجة:٢٩٥١حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُكْلِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَمَلَ مِنَ الْحَجَرِ إِلَى الْحَجَرِ ثَلاَثًا وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا

Nafi' reported on the authority of Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) that Messenger of Allah ﷺ walked swiftly from stone to stone in three circuits and walked (normally) in four. (Using translation from Muslim 1262a)
