[Machine] "When Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari was approached by death, he said, 'O listeners from the Ash'ariyyin, let the witness among you convey to the absent one that I have heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: The sweetness of this worldly life is the bitterness of the hereafter, and the bitterness of this worldly life is the sweetness of the hereafter.'"

أحمد:٢٢٨٩٩ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ

أَنَّ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيَّ لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ قَالَ يَا سَامِعَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ لِيُبَلِّغِ الشَّاهِدُ مِنْكُمُ الْغَائِبَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ حُلْوَةُ الدُّنْيَا مُرَّةُ الْآخِرَةِ وَمُرَّةُ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةُ الْآخِرَةِ

الحاكم:٧٨٦١ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقُطَيْعِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيَّ لَمَّا حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ قَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَشْعَرِيِّينَ لِيُبَلِّغَ الشَّاهِدُ مِنْكُمُ الْغَائِبَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «حُلْوَةُ الدُّنْيَا مُرَّةُ الْآخِرَةِ وَمُرَّةُ الدُّنْيَا حُلْوَةُ الْآخِرَةِ»

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The sweetness of this worldly life is bitter compared to the hereafter, and the bitterness of the hereafter is sweeter than this worldly life."
